Does it mean, upon its completion in roughly 2 years, the GT-Medical Center right beside Manila Doctors College at Pasay will be the Philippines biggest private hospital with 1000 bed capacity?

Does your list include also many renovations/additions — in the form of new buildings or annex — recently made by some old hospitals?

what does “bed capacity” really means? why do some agencies ask for bed capacity as a requirement for hiring nurses? how do you measure bed capacity in every hospital setting?

  3. Marnel Tuble says:

“Bed capacity” simply refers to the aggregate number of beds (for patients) that the entire hospital has, regardless of number of buildings, no matter how small or big these beds are. That seems to be the world’s universal way of categorizing how big any hospital is. However, it doesn’t take a look at the possibility that some public hospitals can easily add more smaller beds in the already congested wards, thereby making them appear as big hospitals despite having fewer buildings in general.
